A distributed environment rescoring method and a device thereof are disclosed. The distributed environment rescoring method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a word lattice by recognizing input speech; converting the word lattice into a word confusion network formed by time-based connection between clustered confusion sets on the basis of time redundancy and phonemic similarity; generating a subword confusion network list on the basis of an entropy value of each of the confusion sets included in the word confusion network; and generating a modification word confusion network modifying the subword confusion network list by distributed environment rescoring.
