PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit including a camera shake correction mechanism that can prevent occurence of pressure force to an image pickup element in an imaging optical direction while suppressing power consumption.SOLUTION: An imaging unit 13 including an imaging optical system 12 and an image pickup element 22 comprises: a fix member (33); a movable member (41) that is provided with the image pickup element 22 and is movable to the fix member; and a driving mechanism (44, 46, 54, 55, 56 and 57) that moves the movable member. Any one of the fix member and the movable member is provided with an elastic member (66) exerting elastic force toward a direction parallel to a surface orthogonal to an imaging optical axis OA, and the other thereof is provided with a pressed-on part 64 regulating a movement of the movable member to the fix member by the elastic member being pressed to be thereby put into a press state. By driving force from the driving mechanism, the movable member is moved to the fix member to thereby put the pressed-on part 64 and the elastic member into a press state, and the press state is put into a release state where the press state is released. |
