PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a compression device.SOLUTION: A compression device includes: a compressor compressing air to discharge it and capable of adjusting a discharge rate; a dehumidifier removing moisture from compressed air discharged by the compressor; a supply channel supplying air from which the moisture is removed by the dehumidifier to demand facilities; a dew point detector directly or indirectly detecting the dew point of the compressed air after dehumidification by the dehumidifier; an exhaust channel diverging from the supply channel to be opened to the atmosphere through a blow-off valve; and a control device controlling opening and closing of the blow-off valve. As the compressed air discharged from the compressor is supplied, the dehumidifier is activated; when the dew point of the compressed air which flows from the dehumidifier into the supply channel is higher than a predetermined upper limit, the blow-off valve is opened so that the compressed air is discharged to the atmosphere; and when the dew point is the upper limit or lower, the blow-off valve is closed so that the compressed air is supplied to the demand facilities. |
