<p>The tendency of artificial silk threads to shift is reduced by treating the fabric with a high molecular weight amine derived from a resin acid which contains a guanidine residue or a group derived from guanidine. Suitable compounds are derivatives of abietinylamine, e.g. abietinyl bi-guanide or ureide. In an example, a viscose fabric is treated with a solution of abietinyl bi-guanide hydrochloride at 40 DEG C., and squeezed. The fabric is fast to shifting and has improved wet tenacity.</p> |
