PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a configuration capable of suppressing a reduction in productivity even when image formation is performed while properly using different types of recording materials.SOLUTION: A fixing belt 51 is heated by an internal heating roller 54 that contacts an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 51 and an external heating roller 59 that contacts an outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 51. A regulating inner roller 57 and a regulating outer roller 58 that regulate a trajectory of the fixing belt 51 are arranged between the internal heating roller 54 and the external heating roller 59. The internal heating roller 54 and the external heating roller 59 are moved by movement mechanisms 90 and 91 according to the types of a recording material. Accordingly, the contact area of the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 51 and the internal heating roller 54, and the contact area of the outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 51 and the external heating roller 59 can be changed respectively, so as to quickly change the quantity of heat given to the outer peripheral surface or the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 51. |
