PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid ejection head of which flowing resistance is small between an ejection energy generating element and an opening of an ejection orifice and which is excellent in adhesiveness between a flow-channel forming member and a substrate.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the present embodiment relates to a method for manufacturing a liquid ejection head with an ejection orifice of which cross sectional area decreases from an inner opening toward an outer opening. In the manufacturing method, a dent having slopes in both sides of a cross section formed by a plane perpendicular to a column direction of the ejection orifice is formed on a surface of a negative-type photosensitive resin layer formed on a substrate and then a latent image is formed in the dent, thereby forming the ejection orifice in such a way that an angle between a lateral surface part and a normal line of an outer opening in a cross section of the ejection orifice formed by the plane passing the center of the ejection orifice and perpendicular to the column direction is larger than an angle between a lateral surface part and a normal line of the outer opening in the cross section of the ejection orifice including a center line along the column direction of the ejection orifice and perpendicular to the substrate surface. |
