PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sensitivity and sharpness while suppressing the manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A radiation image photographing system includes a radiation source and a radiation image detection device. In the radiation image detection device, a solid state detector 20 and a wavelength conversion layer 60 are disposed in this order from the incident side of radiation. The wavelength conversion layer 60 detects radiation transmitted through the solid state detector 20 and made incident and converts it into visible light. The solid state detector 20 detects the visible light to generate image data. The wavelength conversion layer 60 is a monolayered phosphor layer formed by mixing at least a first phosphor particle having a first average particle diameter and a second phosphor particle having a second average particle diameter which is smaller than the first average particle diameter into a binder. Weight of the first phosphor particle per unit thickness of the wavelength conversion layer 60 is gradually reduced toward the direction separated from the solid state detector 20. |
