PURPOSE: A time synchronization method of a PLC system using a mobile terminal with a built in GPS function is provided to synchronize PLC system time, thereby synchronizing time accurately and cost-efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal with a GPS function and a short range wireless communications function and a PCL system with a short range wireless communications function recognize each other and are connected to each other (S1). Time information which the mobile terminal has obtained using the GPS function is transmitted to the PLC system using the short range wireless communications function (S2). The PLC system receives the time information from the mobile terminal and updates PLC system time based on the time information (S3).
