PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel agent for prevention/treatment of allergic diseases.SOLUTION: An agent for prevention/treatment of allergic diseases includes, as an active ingredient, at least one volatile compound selected from the group consisting of cinnamic aldehydes, isothiocyanates (except ω-methylthio alkyl isothiocyanate, ω-methylsulfinyl alkyl isothiocyanate, ω-methyl sulfonyl alkyl isothiocyanate and ω-alkenyl isothiocyanate), alkyl or alkenyl trisulfides and phenols. The compound is administered to a patient at a dose of 0.01-100 mg/day by a method of inhalation and the like, and the administration is continued for three or more days. In particular, the agent is useful for prevention/treatment of type I allergic diseases. |
