PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which failure at the time of disk ejection can be reduced even if an irregular shape disk or a chipped disk is inserted.SOLUTION: A disk device includes: a setting storage unit 13 that stores a laser voltage reference value for comparison used in contour chip determination of an optical disk; a chip determination unit 14 that compares a reflection laser beam detected by an optical pickup 7 and the laser voltage reference value stored in the setting storage unit 13 and determines the presence or absence of contour chip of the optical disk; and a control unit 3 that rotates a spindle motor 9 by a given angle with the use of a rotation angle detection sensor 17 when the chip determination unit 14 determines that contour chip of the optical disk is present, and starts ejection operation of the optical disk. |
