PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an abnormality of an oscillator provided for a watchdog timer (WDT).SOLUTION: A semiconductor device 10 incorporates: a first oscillator 11 which generates a first internal clock signal ICLK1; a second oscillator 12 which generates a second internal clock signal ICLK2; a main functional circuit 13 which operates by using the first internal clock signal ICLK1; and a watchdog timer 14 which detects an abnormality of an external clock signal CLK by using the second internal clock signal ICLK2 to externally output a reset signal RST according to its detection result, in which the watchdog timer 14 detects an abnormality of the second internal clock signal ICLK2 by using the first internal clock signal ICLK1 to reflect its detection result on the reset signal RST.
