The panel (1) has locking elements (4) and input and display areas (5, 6, 7) for engaging behind cutting edges. A planar disk unit (3) comprises optical working areas, sensor elements of an operation electronics unit and input fields are distributed on two sides of the planar disk unit. A supplementary carrier frame (2) is joined with the planar disk unit. The carrier frame runs along a circumference of the planar disk unit. The carrier frame comprises a rotating, distant edge provided at the planar disk unit in a form-fit manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a control panel.
