The surface fan has air flow channels (6,7) that are formed around rotational axis (8,9) and are switched between opened and closed states. The swiveling adjustment flaps (10,11) open and close/lock the air flow channels and comprise a light dome (12) above a frame. The dome comprises a smoke temperature heat sink (13). An aperture (14) is arranged in side of the air flow channel and is tapered vertically upwards, for allowing the light from the dome to enter into the building through roof (1). The water dissipating channels (15,16) are arranged in the adjustment flaps.
