LINE CONTACT MAGNETOSTRICTIVE TRANSDUCER FOR THE TRANSDUCTION OF OMNIDIRECTIONAL SHEAR HORIZONTAL BULKWAVES

摘要

PURPOSE: A line contact magnetostriction transducer for omnidirectional horizontal shear bulk acoustic wave conversion is provided to easily perform a non-destructive inspection of a sample. CONSTITUTION: A magnetostriction member (100) with a ferromagnetic material closely installs a plate structure end surface (110) with a surface of a sample. An insulator (200) is arranged in a side of the magnetostriction member. A meander coil(300) has a plurality of coil lines extended in the parallel direction to the end surface on the insulator, connects the adjacent coil line so that current flows in the opposite direction with each other and generates a dynamic magnetic field with respect to the magnetostriction member.
