PURPOSE: An array substrate for a fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent the increase of a driving voltage by reducing the thickness of an insulating layer formed between a pixel and a common electrode. CONSTITUTION: A gate insulating layer(111) is formed in the upper part a gate electrode(106b). A source electrode(117c) and a drain electrode(117d) are formed in the upper part of an active layer(113a). A passivation layer(123) is formed in the front surface of a substrate including a pixel electrode(103a) and a data line(117a). A pixel electrode connection pattern(129c) connects a plurality of common electrodes(129a,129b) overlapped with the pixel electrode, the pixel electrode, and a drain electrode. |
