<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of improving reflection efficiency of a second reflective plate. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a flexible fixing belt; a halogen lamp 120 (a heating element) which is disposed inside the fixing belt, and emits radiant heat; a nip plate which is disposed in slide contact with an inner circumferential surface of the fixing belt; a first reflective plate 150 which extends along a heating part in a range corresponding to at least the heating part in a longitudinal direction of the halogen lamp 120, and reflects the radiant heat from the halogen lamp 120 toward the nip plate; a second reflective plate 170 which is disposed further outside than the heating part on at least one end side in the longitudinal direction of the first reflective plate 150, and reflects the radiant heat; and a backup member which nips the fixing belt between the nip plate and itself to form a nip.
