<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an existence monitoring system capable of performing existence monitoring for a main server, without causing delay in processing performed by the operating main server. <P>SOLUTION: When a signal is transmitted from each of main servers 100a and 100b, a switch 10 copies the signal and transmits it to a first management server 20 from a prescribed port. When receiving the copied signal from the switch 10, the first management server 20 determines that the main server of a transmission source of the signal exists, stores and manages information showing an existence status of the main server generated on the basis of a determination result and date information showing date and time of reception of the signal in a storage part. The first management server 20 determines that the main server does not exist when it is determined that a signal from the main server has not been transmitted for prescribed time after the last reception of the signal on the basis of the information showing the existence status of the main server which is managed by the server itself. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
