PURPOSE: A file synchronization method in environment of a plurality of users and a plurality of terminals is provided to supply high reliability and accuracy when a file is synchronized in the environment. CONSTITUTION: A new generation file is confirmed. The new generation file does not exist in a synchronization area of a file server(100) and does exist in a synchronization area of an access client terminal which accesses to the file server. When the new generation file is confirmed, the new generation file is uploaded from the access client terminal to the synchronization area of the file server. File time of the new generation file in the access client terminal is changed to file time of a file stored in the file server. The file time of the file stored in the file server is recorded in metadata. [Reference numerals] (130) Network
