PURPOSE: A composition containing an inhibitor of AGE-albumin synthesis or secretion in mononuclear phagocyte for preventing or treating ischemic heart diseases is provided to suppress or reduce apoptosis induced by AGE-albumin and to prevent or treat various ischemic heart diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating ischemic heart diseases contains an inhibitor which suppresses AGE(advanced glycation end-product)-albumin synthesis or secretion in mononuclear phagocyte as an active ingredient. The mononuclear phagocyte is selected from the group consisting of microglia, blood mononuclear cell, type II pneumocyte(dust cell), peritoneal macrophage, granuloma macrophage, splenic macrophage, Kupffer cell, synovial A cell, adventitial cell, and Langerhans cell. The inhibitor is selected from the group consisting of an inhibitor which suppresses expression of albumin gene, an antibody or a fragment to AGE, an antibody or a fragment to albumin, and an antibody or a fragment to AGE-albumin. The expression inhibitor is antisense, miRNA, or siRNA. |
