<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of reducing its manufacturing cost more than conventional ones and having a display unit at a position of a decorative layer. <P>SOLUTION: An input device 10 includes: a surface panel 20, a decorative layer 18, and transparent base materials 24 and 25 laminated one another; and a sensor unit 36 including the transparent base materials 24 and 25, transparent electrode layers 13 and 14 formed at positions facing an input area 11, and metal wiring layers 16 and 19 formed at positions facing the decorative layer 18. The decorative layer 18 has a display window 39 formed therein in a translucent manner. The transparent base materials have display metal layers 46 and 47 facing the display window 39, formed on the surfaces of the transparent base materials where the metal wiring layers are formed, and having the same metal material layers as the metal wiring layers.
