<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance power generation performance of a solid oxide fuel cell including an electrolyte composed of an apatite-type composite oxide. <P>SOLUTION: A cathode side electrode 16 configuring an electrolyte/electrode assembly 10 has a first layer 16a facing a solid electrolyte 20 and adjoining an isotropic conductive layer 22, and a second layer 16b adjoining the first layer 16a. Since the second layer 16b is composed of columnar grains 38, it is sparse when compared with the first layer 16a. Meanwhile, since the first layer 16a is a dense body, it comes into contact with the second layer 16b and the isotropic conductive lyer 22 over a large contact area.
