发明名称 IMPROVEMENTS IN TURBINES AND COMPRESSER ROTORS
摘要 1,237,532. Forming bodies by winding. ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. 6 June, 1968 [24 June, 1967], No. 29244/67. Heading B8G. [Also in Divisions B3, C7 and F1] A turbine or compressor rotor is made by winding a continuous fibre or bundle of fibres on to a former 28 in a plurality of passes between locations 29 which are on the circumference of the former and on opposite sides thereof. The fibre passes adjacent the circumference of an aperture 30 at the centre of the rotor between each two opposite locations and is moved radially each time it reaches the circumference of the former. Radially extending fibres forming reinforcing spines for rotor blades are thereby formed integrally with the rotor. As shown, the fibre is fed from reel 21 to a point on the circumference of a planet wheel 22 of an epicyclic gear. The planet wheel is rotated and the fibre which is fed under tension through tube 27 follows an epicyclic path between the pins 29 and then a radial movement (which is not illustrated in Fig. 3) between the pins so as to form the reinforcing spines for the rotor blades (Fig. 4). The fibre can be fed under tension into epicyclic grooves in former 28. The blades can be made hollow for feeding cooling air therethrough. The radial extensions can be formed with loops at their ends, these loops subsequently being cut and bent to extend circumferentially so as to form a shroud for the blade tip (Fig. 4). A plurality of the rotor discs are assembled side-by-side with interposed circumferentially wound fibres. The aerofoil shape to the blades is then formed and the assembly is coated with metal or ceramic. The radially extending fibres may be cut to different lengths to form the blade section. The rotor disc can be filled with a foamed ceramic or resin. Alternatively, the rotor can be formed by moving the fibre circumferentially between radial movements so as to form integral rotor blades, and shroud (Figs. 5 and 6). These rotor discs are similarly assembled with circumferential fibres and resin or electro-plated. The fibre may be carbon, boron or silica. The fibre can be continuous or joined and may be a bundle of fibres. The fibres can be coated with epoxy, polyamide, polyquinoxaline, polythiazole, polybenzimidiazole resins, a ladder polymer, nickel, chromium, niobium, tantalum or chromium/nickel alloy. The fibre coating can be applied before or during winding, e.g. by winding in an electrolytic bath, spraying with molten metal or by vapour deposition. The winding device illustrated can be used to produce similar rotors but not having integral blades. This device and the rotors formed are also described and claimed in the divisional Specification 1,237,533.
