<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire and a light emission control method which can switch between light-emitting elements in a luminescent state and those in a non-luminescent state in a light-emitting unit without making a user notice the switching. <P>SOLUTION: The luminaire includes a light-emitting unit having a plurality of light-emitting elements, a control unit which controls emission of the plurality of light-emitting elements individually, and human sensing means which detects the presence of a person in a range lighted by the luminaire. The control unit sets a time when the presence of no person is detected or a time when the number of persons detected being present is smaller than a prescribed number to be switchover timing, and at the switchover timing thus set, it gradually reduces the emission luminance of light-emitting elements in a first light-emitting region which are in a luminescent state among the plurality of light-emitting elements by taking time, and gradually increases the emission luminance of light-emitting elements in a second light-emitting region which are in a non-luminescent state among the plurality of light-emitting elements by taking time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
