<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a plasma display panel having excellent display characteristics, which is improved in electron emission characteristics in a protective layer, capable of reducing sustain discharge voltage, high in luminance even in a high-definition image and capable of being driven at a low voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a plasma display panel comprises: a sealing/exhausting step of arranging a front plate and a back plate to face each other while forming a discharge space; sealing the plates with a sealing material; and exhausting gas inside the discharge space. In the method for manufacturing a plasma display panel, during a period of sealing the front plate and the back plate or after sealing, the gas inside the discharge space is exhausted, the sealing space is exposed to reducing organic gas, the reducing organic gas is exhausted, further the sealing space is exposed to reducing organic gas and the reducing organic gas is exhausted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
