<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify coal by changing the characteristic values (particularly, flowability) possessed by coal to increase the blending amount of low-grade coal used and to increase the freedom of coal blending design during producing coke. <P>SOLUTION: The maximum fluidity (MF) of coal is greatly improved by keeping, in a state in which 10 mass% or more of polyethylene is mixed as a modifier based on the amount of coal, the mixture in a temperature range in which the coal is softened and melted, when the flowability of the coal used as a blast furnace coke raw material is changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
