<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device able to restrict overshoot and prevent drawback such as high-temperature offset. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: a fixing member A provided so as to be rotatable and configured to fix an unfixed image T held on a recording medium P; a counter member B forming a nip part N together with the fixing member A, through which a recording medium P with an unfixed image T held is passed; heating means C configured to heat the fixing member A; and temperature detecting means D configured to detect the temperature of the fixing member A. Heat control for the heating means C is exerted based on a detection temperature obtained by the temperature detecting means D. Heat control for the heating means C in a stand-by state is exerted based on at least whether the fixing member A has rotated or not or whether the detection temperature has reached a target temperature after the stand-by state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
