PURPOSE: A light emitting diode driver circuit and a method for a light emitting diode driving are provided to turn on a dimming switch after a set time and to block the current flowed in the light emitting diode. CONSTITUTION: The brightness of a light emitting diode is maintained in a normal mode. The brightness of the light emitting diode is changed in a dimming mode. A power supply unit(300) provides constant current to the light emitting diode through an inductor. The dimming switch(400) bypasses the current supplied to the light emitting diode.
