PURPOSE: An apparatus for inspecting preforms is provided to accurately ascend and descend, and to minimize operating loads by a turret assembly. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for inspecting preforms comprises an in-star wheel(200), a turret assembly(300), a gate cutting gunit(400), first and second inspection modules(600,800), and an out-star wheel(700). The in-star wheel receives the preforms through a curved border portion of an in-rail(106), and settles the preforms on a pocket of a rotary transferring plate(210). The turret assembly rotates the preforms by adsorbing the preforms with a suction mouth of a pusher(350). The turret assembly moves the pusher and preforms up or down by a guide unit and turret cam unit. The gate cutting unit cuts a gate of the perform in a state where the lower part of a revolving perform is supported by a hole cup. The first inspection module inspects a neck and body of the preform. The out-star wheel rotates and transfers the preforms by adsorbing the preforms. The second inspection module inspects the neck-in, neck inner wall, neck top seal surface, cut portion, and the bottom part of the preform.
