An LED lamp has a housing 10 having a front panel 16 with lenses 36. A circuit board (18, fig 3) mounted inside the housing 10 has one surface facing the front panel 16 supporting high power LEDs 36 each in register with a respective lens 36. A fan (28, fig 3) is mounted in the housing 10 on the opposite side of the circuit board (18, fig 3) and adjacent a fan port (32, fig 3) in the rear of the housing 10. Apertures 38 in and/or at the edge of the circuit board (18, fig 3) allows air to pass from behind the circuit board (18, fig 3) to in front of the circuit board (18, fig 3), and ventilation holes 40 in the housing 10. The housing 10 has external electrical contacts 44 to provide power to the circuit board (18, fig 3) and fan (28, fig 3) so that the fan (28, fig 3) circulates air through the housing 10 between the fan port (32, fig 3) and the ventilation hole 40 via the apertures 38. |
