<p>A liquid crystal display device having a configuration in which a pixel is divided into a plurality of subpixels in order to improve visual field angle characteristics, wherein the number of IC chips for driving the panel is reduced compared to conventional liquid crystal display devices. A gate driver is provided with a first shift resistor (20A) corresponding to a first gate bus line (GLAi) (where i = 1 to n), a second shift resistor (20B) corresponding to a second gate bus line (GLBi), and an AND operation circuit (ANDi) for outputting a signal indicating an AND of an output signal (QAi) from the first shift register (20A) and an output signal (QBi) from the second shift register (20B). An output signal (QAi) from the first shift register (20A) is applied, without modification thereof, as a scan signal (GAi) in the first gate bus line (GLAi), and an output signal from the AND operation circuit (ANDi) is applied as a scan signal (GBi) in the second gate bus line (GLBi).</p> |
