PURPOSE: An installation structure of a device for measuring an abrasion loss amount of a rudder carrier thrust bearing and a measuring method using the same are provided to measure an abrasion loss amount a rudder carrier thrust bearing on the top of a steering gear, thereby simplifying a measurement and obtaining the safety of an operator. CONSTITUTION: An installation structure of a device for measuring an abrasion loss amount of a rudder carrier thrust bearing comprises a steering gear tiller(13), a RAM pin(60), a support stand(80), and a measuring member(90). The steering gear tiller comprises a fork portion having a recessed groove in which one side is opened. The RAM pin is arranged in the recessed groove of the fork portion. The RAM pin interferes in the fork portion through a linear reciprocating motion of a RAM, thereby rotating the steering gear tiller. The support stand is fixed to the steering gear tiller. The measuring member measures an up-down distance between the support stand and RAM pin.
