<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact pin capable of inclining a first contact member and in which a coil spring is not engaged, and an electric component socket. <P>SOLUTION: A contact pin 17 has a first contact member 18 which is made from conductive material and contacted with an IC package, a cylinder body 20 which is made from the conductive material and movably stores the first contact member, and a coil spring 21 which is stored in the cylinder body and energizes the first contact member to the IC package side. The first contact member is equipped with a first surface portion 18d for projecting out an end surface portion 18c on which an end surface 21a of the coil spring abuts to the coil spring side, and a second surface portion 18e positioning the end surface portion 18c on a side separated from the coil spring in regard to the first surface portion. While external force in a direction pressing into the cylinder body is not acting on the first contact member, the end surface of the coil spring abuts on the first surface portion, and the end surface of the coil spring is separated from the second surface portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
