The throttle valve (1) has a tubular throttle aperture (22) that is axially fixed in a stationary manner and is rotated with respect to a valve body (2). The throttle aperture is coaxially arranged between the valve body and an adjustment sleeve (33). The tubular throttle aperture is radially permeated over a partial length of its circumference from a throttle slot. The throttle slot is extended over an outside opening (16a) of a cross-channel arrangement (16). A control structure (43) cooperates with throttle slot for variable presetting of overflow cross section.
