In an electromagnet a preformed coil a is mounted on the central limb b of an E-shaped core c and it is held in position by a U-shaped spring clip d adapted to be inserted over the core and to engage the inside walls of the coil a. The clip d has flanges e formed on its side parts so as to embrace the sides of the core and to prevent lateral' movement of the clip itself. Also smaller flanges f are provided to grip the longitudinal part of the core. |
