<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array controller that enables immediate and real-time backup. <P>SOLUTION: A disk array controller comprises: a RAID configuration unit that configures plural physical disks as a logical disk using RAID; and a backup RAID configuration unit that configures the logical disk and a backup storage device as a second RAID.
