PURPOSE: A screen mobile device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to prevent damage of fingers and writs and to recover fatigue of the finger. CONSTITUTION: A contact position and time sensing unit(110) is formed in a band shape along each side of a touch screen. The contact position and time sensing unit senses a contact position and contact time of a user within a screen moving command area. A moving direction and distance calculating unit(120) calculates a moving direction and a moving distance of a screen. A screen moving unit(130) moves the screen based on the calculated moving direction and the moving distance.
