<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image quality degradation and contamination inside an apparatus caused by a liquid developer accumulating between a squeeze roller and a latent image bearing drum, in an image forming method and an image forming apparatus which squeezes a surplus liquid developer by using the squeeze roller disposed at an upper end in a vertical direction of a virtual horizontal plane passing through a rotational center of the latent image bearing drum. <P>SOLUTION: A first squeeze roller 61 is disposed on an arrangement side (Fig. 1, right side of page space) and on an opposite side (Fig. 1, left side of page space) of a developing roller 51 with respect to a virtual vertical plane VP, and because a first squeeze position is located below an uppermost position TP which crosses the vertical plane VP at an upper end in a vertical direction of a photoreceptor drum 1, the liquid developer can be prevented from getting over the uppermost position TP, dripping to the arrangement side of the developing roller 51 and contaminating a developing part 5, an exposing part 4, and a charging part 3, thereby allowing image forming with satisfactory image quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
