<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of reducing a workload for encryption by a user and safely storing required data. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication terminal device, transmission history of data transmitted to the outside is recorded in an internal memory. When data is backed up in an external memory, it is determined whether the data of the back-up object has been transmitted to the outside on the basis of the transmission history. When the data of the back-up object has been transmitted to the outside, the data is stored in the external memory after encryption.
