<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle stopping controller to make an efficient stop when a vehicle is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle stopping controller compares a distance (traffic light distance) to a stopping line corresponding to a traffic light ahead, with a distance reachable by the coasting traveling, (S3 and S4), while the vehicle 1 is coasting (S1), and while the traffic light is red or yellow (S2). When the reachable distance exceeds the traffic light one, the controller operates each kind of brake (S5), and it generates a driving power when the reachable distance does not come up to the traffic light one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
