<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate the possibility that there is a failure caused by the action of an overload in a wheel bearing device. <P>SOLUTION: The wheel bearing device includes an outer race 3, a shaft 2, a flange 10 for attaching a wheel, and an annular outer-side seal 7 provided at a vehicle outer side of an annular space formed between the outer race 3 and the shaft 2 and sealing the annular space. The outer-side seal 7 includes a seal 20 in contact with an inner side surface 14 of the flange 10 and a regulation member 21 fixed to the outer race 3. The regulation member 21 regulates the deformation of the seal 20 toward the vehicle inner side by being pressed to the flange 10 deformed toward the vehicle inner side when an overload is generated from a wheel side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
