<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material that cures at a low temperature (for example, 100-300°C), has excellent adhesion to partition walls of a ceramic honeycomb fired body and has excellent heat resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing material contains an aqueous inorganic adhesive and aluminum titanate-based ceramic particles. A solid content mass ratio between the inorganic adhesive and the aluminum titanate-based ceramic particles is preferably 99:1 to 25:75.
