<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for switching a printing mode, which maintains print quality without deteriorating usability, in an image forming device wherein the operability of part of a device state detection function varies according to a printing speed. <P>SOLUTION: In executing a continuous printing at the printing speed where the device state detection function is not operable, when a printing of a predetermined page number range is executed, an image forming device performs a device state detection upon completion of a sequence of printing process. When a printing beyond the predetermined page number range is executed continuously, the image forming device performs the printing by lowering the printing speed where the device state detection function is operable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
