PURPOSE: A double clutch transmission for coasting and a control method thereof are provided to improve fuel efficiency by multiplying coasting efficiency and to immediately supplies power without a separate clutch connection. CONSTITUTION: A double clutch transmission(20) is installed between an engine(10) and a propeller shaft(30). The double clutch transmission changes rotary force and speed of power of the engine to be matched to a driving state of a vehicle. The double clutch transmission transfers the power of the engine to a driving wheel(40). A gear of the double clutch transmission is an uppermost shift gear or a special shift gear. A one-way clutch(24) is arranged on one or more gears of the double clutch transmission. Control logic for coasting calculates and determines a coasting speed.
