PURPOSE: A service providing method using personal networks and apparatus thereof are provided to enable service providers to respectively provide services according to groups by receiving service group creation and management functions through a CPNS(Converged Personal Network Service) server. CONSTITUTION: Service guide messages including information for one or more services are transmitted to one or more personal network apparatuses(401). The personal network apparatus transmits a service request for a specific service and a service group establishment request message(403). A participation request message for a service group is transmitted to one or more member personal network apparatuses(405). When the participation request message is received from the member personal network apparatuses, the service group is created(407,409).
