PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing impurities from the surface of a rod member is provided to stably cut the surface of a rod member by supplying cooling water to a cutting unit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing impurities from the surface of a rod member comprises a transfer unit, a first housing(200), a body(300), a cutting unit, and a rotating unit(500). The transfer member transfers a rod member. The body comprises a first hollow shaft(301), a cutter(310), and a connector(320). The rod member is moved along the first hollows shaft. The cutter is connected to the first hollow shaft. The connector is connected to the cutter. The cutting edge of the cutting unit is located at the edge of the first hollow shaft. The rotating unit is coupled to the outer periphery of the connector and rotates the body.
