PROCESS FOR PREPARING A MICROBIAL POLYSACCHARIDE BY RECYCLING GLYCERIN AS A BYPRODUCT OF BIODIESEL FUEL PRODUCTION

Biotechnological process for preparing a microbial polyssacharide by recycling glycerin, in which, during the fermentation of Pseudomonas sp. microorganism isolated from the natural environment, on a medium containing the glycerin resulting as by-product of biodiesel fuel preparation, and in optimal stirring-aerating conditions, there takes place the biosynthesis of pseudozan polysaccharide, reaching final concentrations of 19...23 g/l with a rate of production of 0.36...0.48g/l/h. After separating the biomass, the cell-free solution is partially purified and concentrated by microfiltration and ultrafiltration, to obtain the raw polysaccharide which is redissoluted, purified and concentrated, thereby obtaining a product with a concentration of over 90% pseudozan.
