<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fatigue testing instrument that comprises a mounting member for fixing and supporting one end of a test piece in a shaft-rotatable manner by cooperating with the end, and a load applying member for pulling the other end of the test piece downward in a vertical direction by using self-weight, and that measures the rotating-bending fatigue strength of the test piece. <P>SOLUTION: A fatigue testing instrument comprises a vessel around the axis of a test piece, and a lid member on a load applying part side of the vessel, and holes are provided on both side walls of the vessel which the test piece can penetrate in an axial direction, while the lid member is slidable in a vertical direction and is a plate-like member provided with a hole penetrating in the axial direction. In a normal state of the test piece, the hole of the lid member and the holes of the vessel are positioned to be mutually exposed in the axial direction, whereas, when the test piece is bent, the lid member slides in the vertical direction following the test piece and shields the hole of the load applying part side of the vessel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
