[Also in Division H1] Anti-corrosive compositions comprise 40 to 90 weight per cent of polybutene and/or an alkyl methacrylate having at least 8 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, 0À5 to 7 weight per cent of an additive reducing cold flow and 10 to 60 weight per cent of fillers. The methacrylic ester may be octyl, nonyl or decyl methacrylate. Specified cold flow reducing additives are polyolefins. and paraffins. Specified fillers are chalk, kaolin, silica and fibrous fillers. The compositions may be applied to cables between corrugated metal sheaths and superimposed plastics sheaths. |
