<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimming device capable of avoiding to be used in a state that an overcurrent can flow in a switch element due to incorrect wiring or the like and suppressing the number of components from increasing as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit 48 comprises: a dimming control unit 481 which controls on/off of switch elements of dimming circuits 11 to 15; a determination unit 482 which determines as abnormal when a load current detected by a current detection unit 41 becomes greater than or equal to a specified value; and a mode switching unit 483 which switches the operation mode of the dimming control unit 481. The dimming control unit 481 has two operation modes: a normal mode which dims and lights lighting fixtures 31 to 35 and an inspection mode which sequentially selects the dimming circuits to be inspected from the plurality of dimming circuits 11 to 15 and continuously turns on the switch elements of the selected dimming circuits for a prescribed time. If the inspection mode is selected in the mode switching unit 483, the determination unit 482 determines whether or not it is abnormal by comparing a value detected by the current detection unit 41 with the specified value and displays the determination result in a display unit 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
