<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding preheating device that has good heat efficiency and workability in preheating a workpiece when a welding is applied to the workpiece, and to provide a welding preheating method. <P>SOLUTION: The welding preheating device 1 is provided for preheating a workpiece W when welding is applied to the workpiece W. The preheating device 1 includes: a positioner 10 for holding the workpiece W and changing the direction of the workpiece W; a heat insulating tube 20 formed into a substantially cylindrical shape to surround the workpiece W, and configured to operate in cooperation with the positioner 10; and heaters 31, 32 disposed in the heat insulating tube 20, and for heating the workpiece W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
